I was very happy to meet the people who operated the information center (Culture Center). I recently moved from Buffalo, NY and became very interested in knowing the Naticoke Nations history and culture, as we are all different yet, of one mind. I would be very interested in assisting this center with networking issues to help build this great Culture Center to let others know, we are a great people! of many sticks in a very large bundle! Enjoyed my visit and look forward to helping if needed.

I have roots deep within the Nanticoke tribe. My family always knew about my great grandmother who was a Morris on my mother's side and my great grandmother Argo on my father's side. But we did not know about the Streets on my father's side. This is a recently new discovery. We also knew all family came from Sussex & Kent Co., DE. I was born and raised the same. Now family traditions and traits are connecting and making sense. I'm moving back to Sussex Co. in 2012 and hope to volunteer.

I WAS ABLE TO VISIT MY FATHERS OLD HOUSE AS I ATTENDED THE POWWOW IN NEW JERSEY THIS YEAR AND FOR THE FIRST TIME SAW MY PEOPLE FACE TO FACE. I LOVE MY HERITAGE AND I AM ALWAYS LOOKING FOR KINFOLK. MY GRANDMOTHER WAS EMMA MAE GAINES OF POTTSVILLE PENN AND SHE MARRIED WALTER HARMON.

My fathers grandmother was full blooded Nanticoke. This message comes to my people for prayer. My father was just diagnosed with Bone Cancer. My mother is having a hard time with this news, her family is Cherokee. Please Pray for us. Bobb Thompson originally from Lewes Delaware and Olivia Thompson, her native family from Oxford NC where we still have our land. God Bless. i AM VERY PROUD OF MY HERITAGE

My husband and I are here in Delaware for 2+ weeks, visiting the area for the very first time. Attending the 2011 Pow Wow was one of the highlights of our trip. My husband is half Cherokee/half Comanche and I am descended from New Jersey Lenni-Lenape. It was such a thrill and truly a blessing to celebrate our Native culture with you! We will definately be back :D

I am an original Nanticoke Indian and my family still resides in the original area occupied by our tribe. I am proud to be a Nanticoke and love all those who contribute positively to our culture and traditions. The Morris and Harmon families are my roots.
